It's all about Grant...

I haven't had a Grant update in a while, so I thought I would tell everyone what Grant has been up too. Grant is starting to have his own little personality. He is VERY sweet and loving and loves to cuddle and kiss. He is crawling everywhere and has just learned how to climb up and down stairs. He LOVES stairs and crawls quickly to get away from me when he sees them so he can go up/down them. He is a VERY good eater and eats everything I give him (after a LOT of work to get him there). He really likes to sleep also. We put him to bed at 8pm and he doesn't wake up until 9am. Then he takes two, two hour naps! So he is only awake for 8 hrs out of the day!! He puts himself to sleep and rarely cries when I lay him down or when he wakes up. He usually just talks to himself, it's really fun to listen too. He is a momma's boy, but will usually go to anybody. He acts better for a babysitter then he does for me. He is mister golden boy when my mom or mother-in-law watches him, and when I get back he usually throws a tantrum. It's really funny. It's like he knows he can whine to me and I'll help him. He is DEFINITELY going to be a climber. He tries to climb everything and as soon as he gets strong enough, I'm sure he will be on top of everything. He is not in the least bit interested in walking. When we try to work with him, he buckles his knees and starts crawling. So I guess I'll just have to be patient. He loves to say Daddy, Momma, Nana, and Juju (his grandmas). He knows when we don't help him with something he'll scream out one of his grandmas names to see if they will help him. He knows who spoils him! He also will NOT stay still when I change his diaper, especially when its poopy. He sits still as a dog though when his grandma's change him (i'm not kidding). He has recently found that he can vibrate his lips and make a funny noise. And he figured out that he can sing with songs by saying "AHHHHH." This is very cute until we go to church and he sings along with the choir and everyone turns their head to see what the noise is. He loves to give hugs to his cousins, especially Ella who can't defend herself against Grant yet. Poor girl. I don't think they'll be good playmates. Grant will probably overtake the poor baby. Also Grant has gotten his haircut 10 times in his first year. We got it cut when he was 7 mths old and I have to take him in about every 2 weeks to say on top of it. He has a LOT of hair. He has a lot of qualities of my brother Scott, my dad, me, Geoffery, and Geoffery's grandad. He is just growing up so quickly and I love him more than anything in the world. He is my joy! Here are some recent pictures I took of him with our new camera. Enjoy!

Geoffery's Birthday...

It was Geoffery's birthday on Monday, but we celebrated it on Sunday with the family. I made him this cake (I got the recipe from my sister Abby who got it from www.thismamacancook.blogspot.com). We had a lot of fun and the cake was delicious if I do say so myself. He turned 27 yrs old and I think this was a hard birthday for him. He feels closer and closer to 30 every year! I tell him that I'll still be young and in my 20's when he's 30. That's what you get when you marry older. But I really am proud of him for the person he has become. This is our 6th birthday we have spent with each other. I can't believe time passes so quickly. We got him a Nikon 40X camera for his birthday. So all these pictures were taken with that. We will hopefully become better at taking pictures as time goes on. We're still in the learning process. Thank you honey for all that you do for us! We love you! Happy birthday! Birthday Boy!

UMMM!
Isn't this cute! Grant loves his cousin Tyler!

Carseats...

Hello again!! We have been out of commission because we have been moving, traveling, and going everywhere! We have been busy to say the least. After we moved we all came down with the flu and then bronchitis which lasted for about two weeks (I'm not kidding). Then we went on a trip to Arizona with Geoffery's company which was a much needed vacation. Grant stayed with my parents. We took absolutely no pictures because we forgot our camera. But all we did is had a relaxing day at the spa and shopped like crazy! It was WONDERFUL and the best part is that the company paid for EVERYTHING! Finally life is back to normal and now I get to start planning Grant's and Geoffery's birthdays. Geoffery's birthday is on Monday and Grant's is March 6th, but we are celebrating it next weekend. I'll definitely take pictures and post. I've lost the computer cord that goes from the camera to the computer and our camera is dead, so that's why I haven't posted. I promise to be better.

On a different note, it is time for Grant to get a new car seat and I would like to enlist the help of you guys to help me decide which one to get for him. Geoffery has convinced himself that the Britax car seat is the one we need because he heard it from one of his friends that he "has to buy it so that your kid will sleep." It's funny because if I would have told him that it was the best one and then how much it costs, he would have told me I was crazy! But because he's heard it from someone else, he doesn't care about the price. Which is okay with me because it was the one I wanted. But I thought I would see what everyone else has gotten and see if the Britax is really worth the money, or if I could get something similar for a much less price. Let me know what you guys think and tell me what has worked for you guys.
